Today was exactly what I needed...R E S T! We stayed up late last night (or this morning I should say) and played games. We didn't get to bed until almost 4am. That's been my routine this last week...but now I'm home and it's so quiet I could CRY!
We've started to have our {extended} FHE today. Which basically means all of the extended family gets together for FHE once a month. Every family takes a turn hosting FHE. We used to do a long time ago, but then stopped. I looooove FHE but especially the {extended} version.
This week Rachel gave the lesson, and her husband Greg was the conductor. Rachel spoke about the importance of not only keeping a journal, but talking about your history with your family (especially children) and then also the importance of being prepared. It was awesome, thanks cuz! With that said, I vow to blog about my day at least once a day...so no more cheating! LOL
It was so good to see the our "Scott" family. Those guys are awesome! (I say "awesome" too much, huh? Oh well). A lot of us met our cousin Sani's husband, Blaine, today for the first time. They got married the same day as my dad's funeral. Blaine is cool people's...LOL He jumped right in to our family {charm} and {humor}. He wasn't shy (which is a biggie in our family, don't be shy!!!!) and he was a good sport, playing all of our goofy made up games-hehe. WELCOME TO DA FAM BLAINE!!
Anyway, these past couple weeks have been filled with all sorts of emotions. In the end, I love my family and {love} was most definitely the theme for our family this last week.
