2 Peas in a Pod

For a long time I felt like my dad and I had nothing in common. He's an entrepreneur, an electrician, a survivalist, amazing cook, a COMEDIAN, a great speaker and an even better story teller. This man has patience like you would not believe. I mean, the guy has 11 children, for goodness sakes. AND his youngest is, 8 years old (my dad is 63).

And here's me, complainer, pessimist, afraid of speaking...period! But a few years ago, my dad got in to photography...and I soon followed. I loooooove looking at pictures...all different kinds! From the "traditional" to the "quirky", I love them all. I haven't been able to take any pictures *ahem* professionally, because I don't have a SLR camera. Which, if you're an aspiring photographer yourself, you know them things can be as expensive as a Hyundai (for real!) lol.

Anyway, a few years ago my dad bought a really nice camera. Something I could NEVER afford but only dream about. Last Christmas when my dad told us it would be our last Christmas with him, I asked for only one thing...his camera. He spoke it over with my step mom and they both agreed that I should have it. When he told me, I was ecstatic. Every time I snap a picture with his camera, I'll think of him and smile. I am so happy OVERJOYED, to share this interest/soon to be hobby, with my dad.

Love,
7

I like the pic! Way cute! Anyhow, I'm glad you found something in common. And BTW...Oliver is still only 8 years old...NOT 9. He doesn't turn 9 until Feb 10th.
